A Look at the CZ-82 9mm Makarov pistol, basic overview, function and fieldstrip

It is a very, very well made and an accurate gun. It will outshoot a Ruger 9mm. It is easy to clean, light-weight and compact. It is also made of steel (no flexible plastic).
Other very good features include the easy to work slide, because this is a “blow-back” pistol. That means a woman can easily chamber a bullet. If she has problems, teach her to push the slide, rather that pull it. The best way to secure this “cocked and locked” pistol is to leave it uncharged. That means without a bullet in the chamber. To chamber requires knowledge and strength to work the slide. Most young children cannot operate. And, if your children are smart, will know how a gun works when they are old enough to charge the pistol (get it dumb liberals?).
This pistol will eat cheapo ammo all day. You can buy hollow points which work exactly as well as 9mm typical (luger) hollow.
nice pistol. How hard is it to find rounds? I do my best to own mostly NATO chambered weapons. Ammo is alot easier to find that way and will be in TSHTF, Especially when it comes to ARs. Always own ARs that are chambered in 5.56 and .223. Alot of the ones sold at the box stores are only .223.
My short list is:
5.56/.223
.38 (airfarce still uses them)
9mm
7.62
.50
.45 (not mainly used anymore, still the most badass impact from a pistol IMO)
don’t waste your $ on them !
great gun , BUT , it’s a rock without ammo . . . .
buy something that uses US military ammo
you might have to loan them some of your stash
or vice versa .. . . .. .
