HOUSTON, Texas — The ambulance crew that transported America’s first Ebola patient to the hospital has been placed in quarantine as a precaution. The quarantine is a precaution to make certain no one else is exposed in the event the crew became infected during transportation of the patient. The city of Dallas said the crew took all safety precautions during the transport process.
“Our firefighters are in quarantine,” said Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings in an interview with NBC 5 in Dallas “that took this guy to the hospital.”
“We will place them into isolation per Dallas County and CDC recommendations,” said Norman Seals with Dallas Fire and Rescue. He said they will be monitored for any symptoms of the disease showing up. “They will actually be isolated at home, doing self-monitoring and looking for symptoms.”
It is expected the crew will be kept off work status for several days to get through the incubation period.
The ambulance itself has been placed in isolation near the fire department training center. It was blocked in and wrapped with red caution tape according to the NBC 5 report.

Good thing the crew were all hermits that had no contact w/ anyone else.
I know, this is becoming more and more ridiculous.
