To supposedly fight the latest wave of “covid,” the communist Chinese regime is delivering a death blow to the supply chain by shutting down some of its busiest and most important ports.

China’s “covid-zero” policy means that consumer goods will now have an even more difficult time getting out of China to the rest of the world. Some of the supply is being rerouted through Shanghai, but it will not be enough to avoid the same types of congestion bottlenecks – or worse – that occurred last summer. Carhartt may be one of the rare brands that appeals to both rural workers and urban hipsters with its rugged outdoor gear, but it now finds itself at the center of a controversy that is dividing its customer base: Workforce vaccine mandates.

Some customers are vowing to boycott Carhartt products after a January 14 internal memo from CEO Mark Valade surfaced on social media. The memo focuses on the Dearborn, Michigan-based company’s response to the Supreme Court ruling on the Biden administration’s vaccine rules for large workforces — which the high court struck down. Despite the ruling, Valade wrote, Carhartt would maintain its corporate policy of requiring its 5,500 workers to be vaccinated.  Continue reading “Carhartt CEO says he’s still mandating staff vaccinations. The federal government will let teens drive transports throughout the nation in a move it hopes will alleviate the supply chain crisis – but the initiative is being panned by critics who fear it could lead to disaster.

The new apprenticeship program deviates from current law – which requires truckers crossing state lines to be at least 21 years old – by allowing 18- to 20-year-old drivers to travel beyond their home states.  Continue reading “Federal Government Will Allow TEENAGERS To Drive Big Rigs From State To State In Apprenticeship Test Program In An Effort To Ease Supply Chain Backlog”

The president of the Chicago-based American Medical Association, Gerald E. Harmon, M.D., wrote on Friday in Crain’s Chicago Business that employers should impose COVID vaccine mandates as a condition of employment.

Last week’s decision by the United States Supreme Court invalidating the Biden Administration’s attempt to force employers to do so “should not,” Harmon wrote, “prevent these employers from doing what must be done in the name of public health: requiring vaccines to protect their workers, our communities and our nation from the ravages of this pandemic.” Continue reading “Still Calling For Employer Vaccine Mandates, American Medical Association Ignores Its Own Code Of Ethics”
