CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Local man Ali Baydoun, who suffers with a mental disability, is filing a civil rights complaint against the Dearborn Police Department for assaulting him last December when he was riding his bike home from work. The complaint alleges that police falsely arrested him, used excessive force and assaulted him. He was taken to the police department, but was never booked. Officers then drove him to Oakwood Hospital to treat him for the injuries that he sustained during the arrest. Below, a video captures the excessive force police used against him during his arrest. We will have more details on this story later this week! Let us know what you think after viewing the video.

  1. This man came here from Lebanon when he was approximately 22 years old. America is not a dumping ground for the worlds mentally retarded and non English speaking people. He needs to be returned to the country from which he came and finish his education there and become a productive citizen of his own country. It would appear that he was working as a slave laborer for a Mideastern business and I would question his legal status.

    It is tragic that he was injured and frightened but he was clearly resisting Mr. Robo Cop and for now they seem to have the upper hand. I would hope that he would be deported and continue in his education in his own country where he is familar with the culture etc. He will continue to be a life time tax liability to every tax paying American and in my conscience not eligible for monetary compensation for his trauma.

    1. Absolutely, he should be fellin` lucky he wasn`t really beat like a american would have been beat by the cops.
      Yea, the cops love it when a suspect struggles and fights with them. They will and do use any piddly excuse to use violent/excessive force against people.

  2. Dearborn Police? Police across the country are using excessive force every time they get out of the car.

    She’s exposing some wisdom here. Right now, cops are engaged in their “reign of terror” brutality spree, and seem to be looking for any opportunity to beat the crap out of anyone, and throw them in jail for it. Before you decide to resist a cop, better make sure you’re ready to go “all in” (as JD would say), and that its a wise time to make such a move.

    Arguing with them and resisting just because they’re wrong might ordinarily be the right thing to do, but it might NOT be the proper time to do it. If you want to fight the cops, lay low for now, and wait until we’re all fighting them too. As Dorothy wisely stated, “for now they have the upper hand”. Give ’em the feeling of authority they’re craving, and keep yourself around for the real fight.

  3. Dorothy, the money changers comes to mind when reading your last sentence.
    its that same mind set you people think sets you apart from everyone else that has led exactly where we are now.
    let the arrows fly.
