Fake News MSM Claims Correcting Gun Control Activists Is ‘Bullying’

The Daily Sheeple

The mainstream media is now claiming that it’s “bullying” to correct a gun control activist when they use the wrong nomenclature while discussing the guns they know almost nothing about. Apparently, being wrong is perfectly acceptable and it’s “mean” if you educate an indoctrinated fool.

The Washington Post‘s literary masterpiece titled “The NRA And Its Allies Use Jargon To Bully Gun Control Supporters” literally tells you all you need to know about the overall direction our country is headed. It’s more acceptable to lobby for laws on things you know absolutely nothing about, but it isn’t ok for those who are educated to point out the incorrect usage of terms by those who desperately want to write the laws controlling others.

The Post’s piece says:

The phenomenon isn’t new, but in the weeks since the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., a lot of gun-skeptical liberals are getting a taste of it for the first time: While debating the merits of various gun control proposals, Second Amendment enthusiasts often diminish, or outright dismiss their views if they use imprecise firearms terminology. Perhaps someone tweets about “assault-style” weapons, only to be told that there’s no such thing. Maybe they’re reprimanded that an AR-15 is neither an assault rifle nor “high-powered.” Or they say something about “machine guns” when they really mean semiautomatic rifles. Or they get sucked into an hours-long Facebook exchange over the difference between the terms clip and magazine.

But the problem is that all of those terms actually DO matter and they matter immensely when talking about which things should be and can be banned.  That’s why gun owners correct those who use the terms wrong. And if you still believe that the “AR” in AR-15 stands for assault rifle, your opinion on gun laws is less than relevant.

This isn’t “bullying.”  According to Google, bullying is defined as use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants. No one is using superior strength or influence to intimidate anyone here. It’s nothing more than an attempt to educate the masses who have been indoctrinated with years of mainstream media bias against an inanimate object to the point that they know so little about something they hate so much.

But when you’ve got an entire generation demanding things from others and whining when they don’t get their way because everyone deserves a trophy, it’s hard to have any kind of rational conversation, to begin with. If gun control activists could get it together and actually understand what they are talking about before asking it to be banned, that would be one giant step toward them realizing that they were more likely than not programmed by their TV to regurgitate the wrong terms about an object and demonize those who only want the debate to be an informed and educated one not dominated by feelings and incorrect terminology.
