I check radiation levels more than once a day. Iv noticed that japan is cool as a cucumber at first glance, but here is a screen shot from today of what is considered ‘normal’ background.

people need to look at the rad count all over… it’s through the roof… remember normal background is 30-40cpm…

there is a type of radiometer that is called a ‘pancake’. It usually will add 100 counts so its important to know what kind of detector is being used. I agree though. even with that type 130-210 would have been normal 5 years ago.
