I check radiation levels more than once a day. Iv noticed that japan is cool as a cucumber at first glance, but here is a screen shot from today of what is considered ‘normal’ background.

    It’s like saying 1000 degrees Fahrenheit is room temperature. WTF?

    1. there is a type of radiometer that is called a ‘pancake’. It usually will add 100 counts so its important to know what kind of detector is being used. I agree though. even with that type 130-210 would have been normal 5 years ago.
