Breitbart – by Tony LeeAt a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing Wednesday, President Barack Obama’s Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Sylvia Burwell said that beds for illegal immigrant children can cost the federal government up to $1,000 per bed.
While asking the senators to approve the Obama administration’s request for $3.7 billion to deal with the border crisis, Burwell said that beds can cost $250 to $1,000, and the supplemental funding was needed so the federal government can enter into more cost-effective contracts.
There have been at least 57,000 illegal immigrant children who have unlawfully entered the country since October of last year, and Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said he expects nearly 30,000 more to enter before October of this year. Federal officials have estimated that at least 150,000 more illegal immigrant children will attempt to enter the country in the next fiscal year.

So, we have approximately 100,000 illegals that have flowed into this country this year to date. Do the math, that’s $1,000,000,000 (1 BILLION) for F%#king beds, not counting food, medical care and clothing. In the meantime we have homeless vets waiting for months to get any type of care. Friggin pathetic, I am completely embarrassed to be an American.
The government always takes the lowest bidder. Problem is, is that the bidders know this and jack the crap out of their prices praying to get the contract and cash in on our money. I once had a Lt Colonel tell me that the reason a hammer cost two grand was because of development costs. I believe my response was WTF did you just say? This whole thing is a scam between the gov and the contractors. Let the infested little bastards sleep on a dirt floor, they should be used to that.
