Joe Scarborough Tries to Play the Humanity Card – Epic Fail

American Everyman – by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: What Joe failed to say: the obvious – Israel is a terrorist state.

It is a violation of international law to destroy civilian infrastructure and lives if there is no concrete military advantage in doing so. “Israel is repeatedly and flagrantly violating the law of armed conflict,” a group of international legal scholars said in a statement released this week. “Most of the recent heavy bombings in Gaza lack an acceptable military justification and, instead, appear to be designed to terrorize the civilian population.”AlterNet

Israeli apologist Joe Scarborough has offered up a sort of olive branch to the suffering women and children in Gaza in an obvious effort to milk that pro-Palestine and pro-humanity dollar. That’s big market these days I suppose. But hidden in the nuance of his outburst lies an even more depraved indifference to their suffering than folks like Hannity and Clinton can muster.

When career Israeli apologists like Joe Scarborough can’t contain themselves any longer, the Hasbara megaphonies start to tremble in fear. But notice he doesn’t suggest we should do anything to stop it… we should just disassociate ourselves from it. And I guess by “we” he means the Obama administration since he works for a network known to be nothing more than their PR outlet in the states.

“This is asinine,”

“This continued killing of women and children in a way that appears to be indiscriminate is asinine.”

“I’ve always been a 100 percent supporter of Israel. The joke in Congress was anytime I wanted a key to the city of Tel Aviv, I could, you know, get a gold-plated one.”

“The United States of America — we cannot be associated with this if this continues. This is so bad, not only for the Israeli people, but for us,” Joe Scarborough

Really? It’s bad for the Israeli people and us huh? Not a single mention of those Palestinians? You think it might be bad for them, Joe? You think it might be bad for the 300+ children who have been slaughtered needlessly? How about their parents?

And what is all that talk about this brutal inhuman assault being ‘asinine’? What exactly does that mean? What is asinine about it? Is it that these brutal displays of cruelty and land-lust committed by Greater Israel will only serve to drive yet a larger wedge between civil society and the thugs that run (and apparently inhabit) Israel? Is that really the larger picture here? The image of the Jewish State trumps all?

Is that really what you are concerned with, Mr. Scarborough?

While fake progressives are running around cheering your little staged outburst, real lefties like myself, real supporters of a free Palestine see this for what it is: institutional depraved indifference for human life masquerading as a moral center. But you’ve been empty for so long, you can’t even fake it well anymore can you?

I guess it’s true: a leopard can’t change its spots.

There you go Joe. You will now reap the rewards of appearing to have a soul to the same gullible lefties that voted for President Peace Prize and MSNBC’s target market, while, in your heart of hearts, maintaining your loyalty to everything Israel. Clearly your heart is in the “right” place.

Your milk-toast condemnation of man’s inhumanity to man was spoken like a true AIPAC asset, Joe. Congrats.
