Allow me to preemptively say what many of you are already thinking, “Who the heck cares what Justin Bieber has to say about guns!”
True, who cares. But then again, one can’t deny the impact of culture icons. There are millions of millions of beliebers (fans) out there who idolize this kid and everything he stands for. So, in that respect, it doesn’t help our cause when he makes a foolish statement about gun control.
In an interview with Clique, a French Youtube channel, Bieber was asked about what he would do if he was president (around the 10:00 minute mark), he responded by saying, “I’d probably just fix some of the gun laws. In Canada, we don’t really have any guns. There’s no gun violence, so that really solves it. I mean they think that it’s for protection and stuff, but it always ends up in some bozo’s hand.”

I only know a handful of people, and I know a lot of people, who don’t have some sort of firearm except for city dwelling friends. The number goes down a bit…like…maybe to half from 99%. But I don’t give a crap what urbanites or pop stars think about much of anything.
