This is why I want Hillary the Witch to be elected rather than Trumpo the Clown. Most gun-owning “conservatives” will put up with just about any attack on the Bill of Rights as long as it comes from a “tough guy” president with an (R) after his name. Gun owners are much less likely to tolerate such things from Democrats.
Principles play a minimal role in US politics. It’s all about cheering for your own team and booing at the other, regardless of what either team is actually doing.
