Disney and LAPD are taking no chances for Monday night’s massive ‘Star Wars‘ premiere — locking down a chunk of Hollywood with metal detectors and random searches.
LAPD and private security officers are already blanketing several square blocks around the famed Chinese Theatre, where ‘The Force Awakens‘ event is going down. We’ve learned anyone strolling through the area could be searched, frisked, and even wanded with metal detectors.
Law enforcement sources tell us there’s no specific threat, but they’re using an “abundance of caution” with such a high profile event. While no one used the word “terrorism” … it’s clearly a concern.
We’re told Disney is kicking in about $20,000 to hire extra LAPD officers … plain clothed and uniformed. As one source puts it, with all the fans showing up, the ‘Star Wars’ premiere is going to be like a “mini Oscars” … so better safe than sorry.

When going mall shopping or going to a movie, means having to submit to a search, why even pretend there’s a Constitution?
The war on terror has even reached hospitals, workplaces and schools. All that’s left is supermarkets, gas stations and retail stores!

Incidentally, did you ever notice how the Galactic Empire in Star Wars seems almost libertarian in comparison with the US Empire? Ok everyone. I work at a movie theater and we just had one of their own home made DHS “See Something, Say Something” propaganda video at one of our recent meetings. It made me sick to my stomach and the tactics that they said to use are absolutely ridiculous.
For example, we are to hide in a room and lock ourselves in. If there are no rooms to hide, we are to take a fire extinguisher or an ice paddle and try to get the jump on him if we are cornered.
WTF??!!! Way to go, DHS! I guess they never heard of the saying, “Never bring a knife to a gun fight?”
Well, if a knife ain’t gonna work, an ice paddle or a fire extinguisher is not going to do much good, either. Why don’t we just commit suicide right there.
They want us to watch out for people with backpacks, people talking on their cellphones or people looking around from a corner.
Let’s see.. people with backpacks could include baby supplies or medicine for certain customers, people talking on cellphones could be any one of a hundred people and people looking around from a corner could be a person waiting for their friend to arrive to join them to see the movie.
So we’re supposed to waste our limited man-power and resources on this?
So far management refuses to have metal detectors, but they are checking backpacks.
And then we have stupid customers who come up to us and ask us what kind of security we have for that night given the “day in age that we are living in”.
WTF??? There is no “day in age that we are living in”. It’s ALL IN YOUR HEAD!! Stop watching MSM propaganda and grow a pair of balls and stop being so goddamn paranoid. It’s people like these that piss me off!
Then starting January 1st, Texas has a new Open Carry law that allows people to carry rifles and so on anywhere as long as they have a concealed carry permit.
However, that same law, of course, says that if a business has a sign that says that don’t allow guns in their business, it is illegal for them to bring them in.
I’m confused.
WTF!!!!??? Yea, let’s make a law that allows you to do something and then make another section in that law that restricts or null and voids that first section.

So now we have to put up a sign that says, they cannot bring a gun into the theater even though the law technically says people can.
