That was funny, I may have to try that!
At least they were eager to work unlike some I know of.
Seen it first hand. My brother had a farm and the only people who came
to apply for work were Mexicans. No Whites; No Blacks. He even
offered homeless people sitting on a corner with a sign for money the
job; they said they didn’t do that kind of work. The Mexicans worked
hard without complaint. And, always came back the next day and
thereafter.
He should have called the INS office ahead of time for a greeting party. From the way they were running away from that INS building, one would have thought it was poison.
