NJ.com – by James KleimannNEW MILFORD — The off-duty borough police officer who allegedly had crack cocaine and a hypodermic needle on him when he was arrested in Elmwood Park last Friday has resigned, according to officials.
Detective Sgt. Brian Long, of the New Milford Police Department, confirmed that patrolman Daniel DeMarco resigned effective April 1. He said the department otherwise had no comment on the 28-year-old officer’s arrest or any potential disciplinary proceedings.
Elmwood Park Police Chief Michael Foligno told NJ Advance Media that DeMarco was arrested in the parking lot of the Elmwood Village Apartment Complex off Boulevard on Friday afternoon.
He was charged with possession of one bag of crack cocaine, a hypodermic syringe and drug paraphernalia, Foligno said. Police thought DeMarco looked suspicious and was frequenting an area known for narcotics sales, Foligno said.
The off-duty police officer, a Lodi resident, was also charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and DWI, the chief said. He was released to a family member following his arrest.
DeMarco did not respond to requests for comment.

Not unusual to find or have to deal with high or drunk cops on the streets of America. But normaly it is you who are beat and framed by them. And infernal affairs covers for them. Been there and had them pull that in Sang. Co. IL. and then they will make your life H@ll for complaining about a American cop or murder you for it!
