WEB Notes: Sure it can Kimmie, sure it can. Earlier this year these guys could not get a missile off the ground, then their missiles were bent. Fast forward a few months and now the backwards nation can deliver a nuclear missile via ICBM to the US with a bow on it just in time for Christmas! It gets better and better all the time. For those who have forgotten, there is one nation and one nation alone who has ever used a nuclear bomb and it was the US. Of course the fear mongers would have you believe everyone wants to blow up the US with a nuclear tipped missile…
Remember that whole “mutually assured destruction” frame of mind? You know, that whole I will not push the nuclear button as you will press it and we both will die?
They removed that from our frame of mind when they “introduced” us to radical Islam, because after all they are insane jihadi’s who want to blow themselves up so “mutually assured destruction” does not work for them. So we were lead into a war that has spanned at least 20 years now.
Now back to North Korea, they are not radical Islamists, they are just poor, broke and their leader is a little on the foolish side. But we never hear the term “mutually assured destruction” thrown around anymore do we?
Now over to The Washington Post…
“Although it may be cold comfort, it is still unlikely that North Korea is capable of delivering a nuclear warhead to the U.S. mainland — despite Wednesday’s claims. That still requires mastering reentry technology and the difficult task of fitting a nuclear warhead into a missile and have it survive the extremes of temperature and vibrations involved with leaving and coming back into the Earth’s atmosphere.“
North Korea claims to have successfully tested a new type of intercontinental ballistic missile, topped with a “super-large heavy warhead,” which is capable of striking the US mainland.
The country’s state media made the announcement Wednesday, hours after leader Kim Jong Un ordered the 3 a.m. launch of the Hwasong-15 missile, which reached the highest altitude ever recorded by a North Korean missile.
State news agency KCNA called its so-called new missile “the most powerful ICBM” and said it “meets the goal of the completion of the rocket weaponry system development.
