New National Service Law in UK Would Force Young Adults Into The Military

According to a new bill just about to become law in the UK “Every individual who has attained the age of 18 years, and who has not attained the age of 26 years, shall be liable to serve one year of national service at some point between these years unless exempt.”[1]

This Bill was presented to Parliament on 24 June 2013, then was debated on further this week. [2]

The term “national service” is used very broadly in this bill, and could mean anything from forced community service to conscription, and maybe even a full on return to the draft.  Although national service takes many forms, conscription is one of the eventual consequences.

Not only are the wars currently taking place around the world totally inhumane and illegitimate, but the very concept of conscription is nothing more than slavery, forcing someone to do something against their will.

Not only that but a mandatory draft would put people into a dangerous situation and force them to kill against their will.

With no end in sight for the wars across the Middle East and now Africa, it should be no surprise that bringing the draft back would definitely be on the agenda.

They may be able to dress up the language and make it seem like its no big deal, but a bill of this nature could certainly be used to force unwilling people into war in foreign lands that they have no desire in fighting.

Although, this will probably be targeted mostly at developing auxiliary citizen police forces to suppress people at home, at least for now anyway.

  1. There will be those in the UK who will teach and preach of conscientious objection if they find the need, the UK will find very limited resources from a forced conscription and bearing in mind that under the UK law they would have to be paid the going rate of the regular forces, images of free and forced labour are not to be found here because of the unlawfulness of attempting to enforce an unpaid labour.

Britain who is another nation sunk to the hilt with military debt, failure to collect taxes from global corporations and lack of growth because of government incompetence employment is in chaos so government cannot afford its current military spending and until the UK reverses this almost blind and stupid spending spree and reins in government or state spending will not have the money to run a police force let alone an armed force.

    1. I posted this one with you in mind, AG, being our most vocal U.K. poster/supporter.

I’m actually surprised that Camaroon beat Obummer to the punch on this one. I was sure it would be the so-called ‘government’ of the U.S. that would perpetrate that insanity upon the masses first.

      1. Yea, #1, I’m surprised the U.S. hasn’t made a law like this yet. Of course, if they really wanted to, they could just initialize the draft. Of course, I’d like to see how many would people actually go along with it if they tried. I’m sure there will be some sheeple, but there would be a lot of others thrown in prison for not following and so on.
