  1. Have a great day, Henry & Laura! 🙂

(at the A&W for the wi-fi… so I won’t have as much to clear out of my mailbox tomorrow. Limited to battery power, though)

    1. Well, can’t we just take the day for ourselves, take it from all the corruption? I mean, don’t those who do honest and contributing work deserve to be honored and appreciated? All the isms are contaminated in one way or another. So I want to reclaim Labor Day, just like Memorial Day can now be thought of as Anti-War Day, and Independence Day as Bill of Rights Day. Idealistic, I know, but they’ve already stolen so much from us, now our gosh-darn holidays!! Let’s steal them back. Today I celebrate honest workers, and not ANY of their slave-drivers, exploiters, cheats, controllers, just good working people helping to solve problems and enhance life. I just can’t help it.

      1. ps: The college kids across the street are havin’ a party. They put down a vinyl tarp that’s about 40′ long and they’re wetting it down. It’s slip and slide time for them and there’s joy and fun and laughter. It’s a holiday!! And there’s watermelon.

        I absolutely agree, Galen.
Enjoy the time with family, and friends!
Enjoy having a potential paid day of work! (‘job’)
I am doing the same. I enjoy time with family, and friends when I can, when we can, and sometimes at a drop of a hat! I guess that’s me.
Realize what is going on though.
Ya know, Al Capone put up bread, and soup lines, and the people loved him for it.
Most holidays are provided for you, so to have your thrill, and get your ass back to work, so you can struggle and they ain’t got to.
We cannot turn our backs on what needs to be done.
        Stay Focused!
People provided for their families, friends to some degree, and the less fortunate as well, from their own untaxed property (without a ‘job’), because they produced.
        much before our time.

Hate to sound a party pooper. Them’s the facts.

          This is Why We Fight!!

        2. Thanks, Hal. I just didn’t want the workers to be forgotten. I look around my life and have so much gratitude for those who build, repair, beautify, etc. Regardless of whatever tyranny, those are real human beings who toil and sweat, and it is they I thought about today. Also, I like tradition and try to uphold it because the tyrants are smashin’ so much. In one sense it’s my way of fighting back. We all come at this as who we are. Glad you’re there and glad you enjoyed the day.

    1. Right.
Also, through generations, we tend to choose to accept less responsibility, via some sales pitch that makes: ‘life easier’….Sick.

  2. Happy Labor day….!

Today I did a 70 mile round trip to get a wifi connection.
    Pay some bills.

I noticed there was so many cars that were so dirty and they all had bikes mostly.
    Plus all the RV’s.

    I finally figured it out.

Where they were all coming from.

    They were at burning man.

    Then I said..

I need to capitalize on this.

So I’m going to have my own festival next year.
    Only for Neo feminists.

    I’m calling it ….
    Drum roll plz…

    “Burning Men”
    Bada..ching.

      1. No way.

        I didn’t even know that.

        UR freaking me out.

Otherwise I wouldn’t have cracked that joke.

        Clairvoyance…?

  3. No holiday for me, I’m working as usual. I don’t get holidays off. No wonder this job has an unbelievably high turnover.
