KIRKERSVILLE, Ohio — An officer was shot at a central Ohio nursing home, WLWT News 5’s NBC affiliate in Columbus NBC4 reports.
Police responded to reports of an active shooter at the Pine Kirk Care Center in Kirkersville, which is about 25 miles east of Columbus.
Police have not released the condition of the officer or for what agency the officer works.
NBC4’s Olivia Fecteau reports that a woman said her mother works at the home and texted her that there was an active shooter there this morning.
Nursing home worker says her mother also works there. Mother texted her & father this AM, saying there was active shooter inside. @nbc4i
