Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson busted out his Bible on-stage at CPAC 2015 and delivered a fiery sermon for the crowd upon receiving the conference’s “Andrew Breitbart Defender of the First Amendment Award.”Phil Robertson Rails Against STDs, ‘Revenge of the Hippies’ at CPAC

Robertson got into hot water late in 2013 for his comments to GQ about homosexuality, leading to a brief suspension of his family’s A&E reality show, and his catapulting to a new level of conservative stardom.
“I love you,” Robertson declared as the three words no politician will ever tell an audience; but he will. He spent the first 20 minutes of his speech preaching about religious liberty before taking a left-turn into fire-and-brimstone territory, railing against sexually-transmitted diseases and the unholy nature of extramarital (or homosexual) sex.
“You want a medically safe option?” he said. “One man, one woman, married for life.”

Robertson also called STDs “revenge of the hippies,” and said that no matter how much people criticize him for his religious remarks, he “loves” them unconditionally. “Stand on the Bible,” he implored his audience, “hold onto your weapons!”

The speech concluded with Robertson’s connection between authoritarian regimes and a lack of Jesus. Regarding ISIS: “These Muslims,” he said, are into “territorial conquest” and “I don’t see a dime’s worth of difference in any one of ‘em.”

Other quotes: “When an atheist writes a check, he’s saying ‘Jesus was here.’”
