Police find cache of stolen guns, ammo in suspected burglar’s home

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Seattle police raided a suspected burglar’s Bellevue home on Monday and found a cache of stolen guns, ammo and body armor.

Police originally responded to a commercial burglary on New Year’s Eve in the 500 block of Colorado Avenue South. The thief, who made off with dozens of guns and suppressors, was long gone by the time officers arrived, but detectives learned that the prime suspect was a white man driving a late 1990s Toyota Forerunner, according to the Seattle Police Department.

On January 8, the same commercial property was burglarized. A witness saw the robbery in progress and called police, who arrived in time to nab the suspect, who matched the earlier description and was driving a Toyota Forerunner.

Police found stolen items inside the Toyota and arrested the suspect, who has not been identified.

Detectives continued working the case and developed probable cause to get a search warrant for the suspect’s Bellevue home.

On Monday, members of the South Burglary Squad — along with members of the SPD SWAT, South CPT and Bellevue Police Department — served the search warrant on the home and found a cache of stolen weapons and ammo, according to police.

In all, officers found and seized 68 handguns and rifles, as well as a number of suppressors, tactical gear, custom knives, armor vests, ballistic shields, high end camera equipment, and a Rolex watch.

The 38-year-old suspect remains in custody at the King County Jail for investigation of burglary.

  1. He was just doing an investigation on arms dealers.
I do have to say that is an impressive cache.
What I’d like to know is who in the hell are the people he stole them from and what the fk they were going to do with them?

He must have ripped off a goverment arms trafficking stash and pissed off the ATF.

    1. Hey flee

      Maybe I can clarify.

“In all, officers found and seized 68 handguns and rifles, as well as a number of suppressors, tactical gear, custom knives, armor vests, ballistic shields, high end camera equipment, and a Rolex watch.”

First it does not say any are actually stolen or owned outside code.

      “68 handguns and rifles”
to me means 136 firearms but that aside not illegal.

“as well as a number of suppressors”
zero is a number. the canuks call it zed. It is a nice round number. but 1 is also a number. Suppressors? flash suppressors? recoil suppressors? Noise suppressors? They never use the right name so why would they start now?

      “tactical gear”
its camo and has a flashlight on it.

      “custom knives”
they are dull and have broken handles or they have tape on the handle…

      “armor vests”
does not imply that the armor is in fact present in the vest. A plate carrier when purchased normally does not include the plate…

      “ballistic shields”
      like safety glasses? fags.

      “high end camera equipment”
A iphone with a otter box on it.

      “and a Rolex watch.”
      Fake!. a $1000 fake but a fake.

      Hope this helps.
      lol 😉

Belongs in jail for being retarded.
