A political cartoon in the New York Daily News is creating quite a stir by comparing the Washington Redskins football logo to that of the Nazi Swastika and Confederate Flag. The motivation of the comparison is best summarized by the caption below the images that says: “Archaic Symbols of Pride and Heritage.” The obvious point the artist is trying to convey is that the “Redskins” name is insulting to the Native American community and at par with some other symbols that have now become divisive to certain communities.

Another planned diversion from the wealthy elite who are needing a constant crisis to divert our attention away from truths.
I’m part Italian, yet when someone calls me a ‘Wop’ or a ‘Dago’ I just laugh, it’s only a word and doesn’t cause any harm.
Maybe I should retain a law firm and sue someone?
I’m sorry, but how the HELL do you get the Nazi symbol or the Confederate flag out of the Redskins logo? And how the HELL does the Confederate flag even resemble the Nazi symbol?
That’s like showing someone a picture of a toy puppy, a picture of the Eiffel Tower and a picture of a fisherman and saying, “See! It’s all the same!”
There absolutely NO LOGIC RELATIONSHIP WHATSOEVER!

What really gets me (a football fan) about all this is NOW, all of a sudden–after about 400 years of genocide, abuse of children in “Indian Schools”, rampant poverty and alcoholism on “reservations” and all those “cowboys and Indians movies” etc.,–the name “Redskins” is an insult?
But genocide and destruction of Native language and culture is okay. Like Stalin said, “One death is a tragedy. A Million deaths is a statistic.”
Redskins fans are hardcore. It’s THE most successful sports franchise ever, due to the fact that they sell out every single game, and always have (as far as I know).
This is simply more celebrity smoke & mirrors for the masses.
and Redskins fans are some of the smartest, nicest, non-racist, most down-to-earth, head-screwed-on-straight people you will ever meet. [full disclosure: I live here and know a lot of these people].

The truly RABID fans are the Raiders’.
Something in the water up there, I think.
The Confederate flag has nothing to do with the Redskins or the Nazis, leave it out of this controversy.
Like every other patriotic symbol, it must be demonized, as were our forefathers, who are now considered (by the so-called ‘government’) to have been terrorists.
As blatantly as they’ve trashed the Constitution and Bill of Rights, do you really expect them to honor anything at all, except themselves?
p.s. You ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Wait till you see the coming demonization (and subsequent persecution) of Christians. All else will pale by comparison.
