A California gun shop sees sales of firearms that use bullet buttons to swap magazines sky rocket as new gun laws that will ban those types of weapons looms.
Christopher Lapinski, the operations manager at Last Stand Readiness & Tactical in Sacramento, told Fox 40 Sacramento that he’s seeing more people coming in to buy the gun before the law takes effect.
“The whole anti-gun movement, taking guns from citizens, literally has everyone and their grandmother buying firearms before they can’t get them anymore because they want to be able to be protected,” Lapinski said.
California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a measure that closes a loophole by banning the sale of such weapons. The move had been praised statewide by lawmakers who believe the bill will curb gun violence.
“California has led in the past. I’m proud it’s leading again. We’re a model for the rest of the nation,” Assemblyman Rob Bonta told the station.
The gun shop is now considering moving the store out of the state because of its strict gun control laws.
“We’ve looked into having to relocate to a different state, which is a terrible thing because we put money into this state,” Lapinski said.
Lapinski said he has piles of petitions with hundreds of signatures from gun owners who hope to get a referendum on the November ballot in hopes to overturn some of the strict gun control laws.

Yes, you can spend your life getting referendums, injunctions, and recalling Senators and congressman, but is that how you want to live?
The fact of the matter is that after this gun law is repealed, three more will take its place, and another six will be added to the pile. I’m amazed that people still have faith in this political process that has proven over many years to be nothing more than a dog-and-pony show enacted by tyrants and whores.
I think that dealing with this corrupt political system is a way of avoiding reality. Keep hoping that peaceful solutions can be reached if you like, or you can learn the history of communists (or any tyrants), and know that they’ll never stop their advance until they’re forced to.
