Lansdowne has gone on record saying: “I could not be more supportive of the president for taking the position he has. I think it’s courageous with the politics involved in this process. [And] I think it’s going to eventually make the country safer.”
He made it clear that it may take “a generation,” but new laws could eventually take all guns off the streets.
This is quite a departure from other law enforcement personnel we’ve seen around the country–particularly Sheriffs–who’ve come out firmly against any infringement on the 2nd Amendment. We’ve cheered those officials for standing with the people, and now Lansdowne has taken a position completely opposite them.
Moreover, Lansdowne has also been slamming the NRA in interviews. And he seems overtly thrilled at the money the NRA is being forced to spend to get their message out in the wake of the crime at Sandy Hook Elementary. “We broke the NRA,” says Lansdowne.
Breitbart News contacted Lansdowne’s office about these statements but received no comment.
Another guy I wouldn’t shed a tear for if someone had the bright idea to eliminate him. When the dollar crashes he better hope he has a good hiding place or he’ll be swinging off of some lamp post.

Look how great gun confiscation is doing in Australia;
It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by a new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by our own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.
The first year results are now in:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2 percent,
Australia-wide, assaults are up 9.6 percent;
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent.(Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, so the criminals still possess their guns!)
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since the criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the elderly, while the resident is at home.
All law enforcement have being given a chance now to declare their allegiance to the people or face justice with the rest of the criminal gang now in power. He just let everyone know he stands with the criminals. There is no sitting on the fence on this one cause when the SHTF the public will remember who has been naught or nice. Here in Montgomery County Texas we have not had any indication from the local law enforcement that they take this seriously, so I am guessing they are not standing with the people, they act like a bunch of bullies and thugs anyways and they must think that they are invincible or that they will somehow survive the first wave or that the feds will rescue them, those that are enemies of the people will be hunted down with nowhere to hide. The good cops need not fear, bad cops will not survive.
The San Diego police chief could be permanently and legally disarmed faster than that.
