When I was growing up, I used to scoff at the Muslims who referred to the US as “The Great Satan.” I’m not scoffing anymore. Sometimes I almost wish I could return to the blissful ignorance of my early years. But once you’ve learned the truth, you can’t unlearn it.
This isn’t to say that all Americans are bad people. Some are terrific. But most are some combination of evil and stupid, and nearly all have been utterly deceived.
