St. Petersburg, FL — A Republican Florida House candidate says the U.S. Secret Service paid him a visit after he called for President Obama to be hanged.
Joshua Black also tells 10 News he’s not dropping out of the District 68 race, even though Gov. Rick Scott and other Republicans are calling on him to quit.
Black, however, did resign from a liaison position with the Pinellas County Republican Executive Committee on Tuesday.
Scott took to Twitter Tuesday afternoon and wrote, “Joshua Black’s comments on President Barack Obama are outrageous. Floridians expect more from our leaders and he should immediately withdraw his candidacy to represent families of Pinellas County.”
Republican Party of Florida Chairman Lenny Curry agreed that Black should drop out of the District 68 race.
Curry tweeted to 10 News Reporter Preston Rudie, “That garbage does not represent the values of the people I know whether R, D or I.”
During a one-on-one interview with 10 News, Black explained it’s his opinion the president has committed multiple crimes like treason and if tried and convicted the president should be killed.
“I want to see all elected officials face the standard that everyone else face. They should not be able to write a law and have us face it and then not have them face it,” Black said.

The ones that need to be investigated are the vermin that came knocking on his door in the first place.
