    1. Totally haunted. I see the ghost in the upper right-hand window. Wonder what he’s holdin’ in his left hand.

      1. Yeah, but I told it that it had to leave. Then it took my wrench.
        That’s what’s in its left hand. 🙂
There is a very small cemetery further back across a field about a half a klick.

  1. It looks like Jason Voorhees standing in the upstairs window.

    I can’t tell if it’s a chainsaw or a machette in his hand though. Maybe it’s just a milkshake…. 🙂

    Best of luck bubba!

    1. That sure do look like Jason. Well, if anyone can candle this, Hal can. Still, I wonder if there are any Trencher Ghost-Busters.

      🙂

  2. I like your house, Hal. It is hauntingly beautiful and seems kind of welcoming to outlaws. Hee hee. It also reminds me of Wabi Sabi, a Japanese concept of seeing beauty in decay and in aging, highlighting transience, impermanence, and imperfection. I only recently learned about it. All in the eye of the beholder, I guess:

    1. I’m gonna disassemble the house except the nook. Then build a cabin using the nook part of the house to start from.
The basement will be turned into a root cellar.
It belongs to someone else. I’ll only be here a couple years.
Basically I’m just prepping it so a new house can be built.
      Than will be my rent.
I traded my pos 1978 Holiday Rambler 5th wheel for a poly garage, a two wheel dolly, 500 rounds of .40 S&W, and some Helicopter Ben Coupons to get started.
That is the frame of the tent garage on the right side of the photo.
      Already got deer stands up.
Two sisters used to live here. I’ll find out more later.

  3. Now THAT’S some shabby chic! Get a joo realtor and sell it for 100million!

They did it for pollack! At least this has a use. 🙂

    1. LOL!
      It is pretty shabby, Martist.
I’ll be going hard core to get it set up before it gets cold again.

  4. I think Hal is pranking us.

I sure hope it has indoor plumbing.

    Speaking of indoor plumbing.

I might even have a toilet , sink and shower…after four fkng years this summer.

Or…I might just drink ..smoke weed and take old man naps…

As long as I get that…AC swamp cooler going here real fn quick.

Cause…it’s gonna hot here real soon.

I can’t wait to hear Henry on the broadcast. ..

It’s a beautiful day here in the high cascades.

Hotter than a btch dog in heat.

    But I’m not complaining.

    1. I ain’t pranking ya, flee.
      I’m being straight up.
      Updates as I make progress.
It’ll more than likely be a couple weeks before much happens, as we are planting the fields around it yet.
I never done any farming sh!t before. 🙂

      1. I also thought it was a joke. But wow!! It takes a special kind of person to tackle such a job. I know it’s in very good hands!! And I look forward to watching the restoration. All the best, Hal!

        🙂
