Two strangers have saved a US woman’s life, dramatically pulling her from a burning car amid a horrific 10-car pileup. The massive crash happened on a bridge in Binghamton, New York last week when a truck smashed into stalled traffic, WBNG reports. Dashcam video shows the moment the out-of-control truck ploughed into the queue of cars. In the minutes after the accident a white car sits engulfed in flames. Two men then notice a woman in the burning car and begin pounding as the flames leapt higher and higher. A man running past uses a fire extinguisher to put out the blaze and the men drag the woman out of the window. Binghamton Assistant Fire Chief Mark Whalen told WBNG nobody was killed in the pile-up and the two people who were seriously injured were expected to recover. Chief Walden praised the two men who saved the woman in the burning car. “Prior to us getting there, two passerbys smashed the window of her car and got her out of it. They saved her life. I can’t say enough,” he said. One of the men was a construction worker who witnessed the crash, and the other was a former police officer.
