The Trump White House released policy papers Monday declaring full support for California-style firearm confiscation orders.
Breitbart News has a copy of the release and it urges states to adopt Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs). Such orders allow firearms to be confiscated with a judge’s approval.
The White House suggests that ERPOs “allow law enforcement, with approval from a court, to remove firearms from individuals who are a demonstrated threat to themselves or others and temporarily to prevent individuals from purchasing new firearms.” They stressed that the orders “should be carefully tailored to ensure the due process rights of law-abiding citizens are protected.”
California adopted similar gun confiscation laws in 2015 and Southern California Public Radio reports that 190 orders requiring confiscation were issued 2016-2017 alone.
Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) signed California-style confiscation orders into law on Friday and the White House is urging other states to follow suit.
On March 1, 2018, Vice President Mike Pence took pains to focus on the need to guard “due process” in issuing ERPOs. Trump responded to Pence’s statement by saying, “Or, Mike, take the firearms first, and then go to court.”

Bottom line: the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6th amendments (aka Bill of Rights) are now null and void. Your property can now be legally taken/confiscated/stolen at any time, for any “reason”, WITHOUT due process and without having been actually charged with a real crime.

Remember our judges are activist judges. “The Law” is what ever they say is says. So what is legal today, can be made illegal the next day at whim. We no longer have Rights (as classically understood) but rather privileges granted to us by the Government, subject to change at a moments notice. Every time they open their mouth, another 200,000 assault rifles get sold. The day after the Florida movie of the week, Florida gun shops had record AR15 sales.
What those shit weasels STILL don’t understand is that every single time they yap on about banning a firearm, all it does is to create a demand for that same item. If the anti-gun crowd was to start talking about banning Hi-Point firearms there would be an increased demand if not a shortage of Hi-Point firearms. People who would never own one, and or hold those firearms in utter contempt, will decide that they absolutely have to own one. Same with ARs. It is a 100% certainty that people who, normally saw no reason to own an AR rifle are out buying then because there is a call to ban them.
