“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie—deliberate, contrived, and dishonest, but the myth—persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

This JFK quote is worth framing… what an articulate orator.
The Truth must be verified with indisputable fact; whereas, Myths only require a person’s blind faith in hearsay.
“All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.” — Arthur Schopenhauer
Great post, Paul!
Ditto!
When Kennedy was shot I was just a little boy, I cried even then…This man was something special.
You’re right, Mark. JFK is probably the best President we shall never have again.
I remember when JFK was murdered, I was 8 years old and I was at home sick and out of school. I saw it on TV as a news flash, and my Dad just got home for lunch, I came running out to the car and told my Dad that JFK had been killed and he dropped to his knees and just started crying. I will remember that for the rest of my life.
