A Tulsa police officer who was suspended and punished for refusing to attend Muslim religious services at a local mosque that has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood is suing his employer for ordering him to attend over his religious objections.
Even worse, the mosque the officer was order to attend is connected to an Imam who is an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and has been recorded proudly making numerous anti-American statements over the years.
In yet another example of the self-immolation marking the end of western culture, Captain Paul Fields of the Tulsa, Oklahoma police force was suspended and later punished further for refusing to attend the mosque as well as refusing to order any of the officers under him to do so against their religious beliefs.
Of course, we all know that if the Tulsa police had tried to force its officers to attend Christian indoctrination services, the media and the militant atheists who pretend to be against religion–but who are really only against Christianity–would have been all over this case. But because the department was forcing Islam down the throats of its officers, all those nice, liberal groups are silent as a graveyard.
In 2011 Tulsa police officials ordered Capt. Fields to attend a so-called “Law Enforcement Appreciation Day” at a local mosque connected to Imam Siraj Wahhaj–an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 WTC bombing and radical Islamist connected to the Muslim Brotherhood.
A week before the purported law enforcement community event, the mosque hosted a dinner and speech by Imam Siraj Wahhaj who once told a Muslim audience in New Jersey, “If only Muslims were more clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate.”
In another sermon, Wahhaj said: “In time, this so-called democracy will crumble, and there will be nothing, and the only thing that will remain will be Islam.”
The 16-year police veteran informed his chief that he would not attend religious services because it violated his religious beliefs and also noted that he would not order his officers to do so if they felt it violated their religious conscience.
The Thomas Moore Law Center subsequently took the officer’s case but thus far has been met with courts upholding the treatment the officer received by his department.
TMLC charges that the department launched a campaign of harassment of Capt. Fields that consisted of:
- The Tulsa Police Department retaliated against Fields for exercising his constitutional rights.
- Fields had the right to object to the order to attend the Mosque because of his deeply held religious beliefs.
- Fields was punitively transferred for invoking his constitutional rights.
- There was no need for Fields to attend the Mosque if he had a religious conviction against doing so and there was no crime to investigate.
- Fields was the top performing shift commander in his division.
- Fields’ punishment was inconsistent with other similarly situated officers of his rank
- The allegations of the Internal Investigation of Fields could not be sustained.
In May, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that it was perfectly OK for the department to attempt to force its officers to attend the Muslim services.
“This case is another startling example of applying a double standard when Christian civil rights are involved,” said Richard Thompson, TMLC president and chief counsel. “If this were a Catholic or Protestant prayer event, I am positive no Muslim police officer would have been ordered to attend. Further, no federal court would have approved the punishment of a Muslim officer had he refused to attend.”
TMLC is now hoping to take its case to the US Supreme Court.
“The matter is now ripe for the United States Supreme Court’s review. As the petition states, the city of Tulsa has been allowed to punish a public employee, Capt. Fields, for his right to seek redress of a civil rights violation in court,” a TMLC spokesman said. “The Thomas More Law Center is hopeful that the United States Supreme Court will step in to right the wrongful punishment and retaliation Capt. Fields has faced because of his Christian beliefs.”

Since when is attending any religious gathering a requirement for employment as a police chief (or any other public job)?!? If anyone ever tries to impose Sharia Law on the United States, they can expect a swift and decisive response by all American Nationals.
