As you will see in the video the man does not die but he is injured. What the hell is going on over there. I’ve seen some reports that the main Turkish opposition party and other groups have hijacked the original protest to air their own grievances. This may be so but Diren Gezy Park remains the heart and soul of the protest.
According to the Turkish Interior Ministry, 90 demonstrations across Turkey resulting in 939 arrests and 75 people wounded. We have however seen on video what looked like people dying so these figures could be bullshit and probably is as the people giving the figures are the same people who said yesterday if you are anti-government and injured do not seek an ambulance.
The fight continues, solidarity to the Turkish protesters and Diren Gezi Parki. Resist! -Mort

Since Obama is always yammering about human rights and personal freedoms, I’m certain that any day now he will authorise money and arms for these oppressed protesters AND call an emergency UN/NATO meeting to see if a “no fly zone” over Turkey is required to “Prevent the harming of civilians.” I’m sure Kerry is diligently working on demanding Erdogan step down ASAP for the “good of his country.” If I were Bashir Assad, I’d be smiling at the hypocracy.
