Major railway hub of the US capital was locked down after security at Union Station shot a man wielding a knife.
Eyewitnesses reported several gunshots were fired in the food court, prompting police to evacuate the building.

Police says a man tried to attack a woman with a knife. Both are being treated at an area hospital.
The incident took place at a McDonald’s on the station’s main concourse.
Union Station is located a short distance north of the Capitol complex.

He was upset because he couldn’t “have it your way”.
This never would have happened had that been a Burger King.
