USA: DefSec slips up, says NATO should share burden to “deter Russia and avoid peace in Europe”

US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper slipped with his words while announcing to the press that the US would be moving 11,900 troops from Germany, saying NATO countries should better share the burden to “deter Russia and avoid peace in Europe”. He made the remarks at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia on Wednesday.
