Are They Nuts!? IMF Proposes $1.40 a Gallon Gas Tax on US Drivers

Published on Mar 28, 2013 by Jebby Sanderson

The national average for a gallon of gasoline is currently at $3.65. On top of that sky-high price, the International Monetary Fund has now proposed that the U.S. should impose a tax of $1.40 per gallon in order to pay for social programs around the world and help the environment.

Neil Cavuto discussed this proposal with FBN’s Charles Payne, who said sometimes you hear things and you just have to ask, “Are you nuts!?”

  1. The world is not our problem, let them fund their own programs. Besides in 10 year the US will be a new nation, F the IMF and the UN and any other “one world communist government” schemes.

  2. What did you think the IMF and world governments do? They raise your taxes and steal your wealth. And the kicker is “nobody’s held accountable”! You can’t blame anyone person because it’s World Government and just like in the movie Road Warrior part 2 what’s spoken “is the law”, as Tina Turna said in the movie.

    1. Tina Turner was in the third Mad Max movie, not the second one, but you make a good point, otherwise. lol

  3. F the IMF, I see no where in the Constitution where they have the ability to tax anyone within the borders of the united states of America!
Futher; they can kiss my fuzzy white arse!

  4. This is clearly discrimination against the citizens of the United States. I don’t see any other countries being named for imposing a gas tax on them. Discrimination suit anyone?

  5. Weeellll, Welcome to your New World Order. How does it feel to be a slave. Nothing left over for you to have a life, you asset cattle, branded and owned. lol You better never give up your guns.

  6. An extra 14.50 on a fill up means an extra 14.50 not being spent on slave labor goods. So 14.50 times say 100 million drivers a week. Comes out too lots of factory slaves in “emerging ” economies having no jobs ). Which means starvation riots round the globe. Way to go IMF , disemploy millions of people you claim to be helping , helping them into an early grave perhaps ? )

    1. Don’t worry M, Q will be here shortly to fix everything for us. lol

In regards to your comment, sadly you are right.

  7. If they really wanted American’s to help the environment, they would let us have the vehicles that are made here and sold in the UK that get 70 mpg.

  8. It was not an over site by the authors of the Constitution to not put a limit to the governments ability to tax. The power to tax is unlimited. It just has to be uniformly apportioned. Excise taxes have no limit either.

  9. We don’t care about the environment.

If we did, we would allow cars that get 70 mpg on America’s streets.

We make the engine in America, but only sell them in the UK.

Look up a car dealer in the UK and see for yourself.

Why? Because the US can’t do without the taxes and don’t know how they would make up the difference.

They say it is because of the pollution from the car, but when you consider the gas mileage, it is actually much less pollution.

    US government is a joke.

  10. So the IMF wants us to pay an extra $1.40 per gallon to pay for some social program for some kids in Africa or India. Did Angelina Jolie come up with this idea? It sounds like something she would sponsor. I think she needs us to fund one of her kids in Uganda.

I’m gonna have to go with what Tobey Maguire said as Peter Parker in the movie Spiderman,

“I missed the part where that’s my problem.”
