A US House panel unveiled bipartisan legislation on Tuesday that would authorize $1 billion for small and rural wireless providers to replace network equipment from companies including Huawei Technologies Co Ltd and ZTE Corp that lawmakers say pose a national security risk.

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has blasted the United States for sponsoring the terrorists who have been wreaking havoc across the Middle East, saying terrorism has only expanded in every country Washington has set foot.

The U.S. government took swift legal action against famed NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden after the release of his memoir, “Permanent Record.”

The government’s complaint, filed September 17th, alleges that Snowden, a former CIA employee and former contractor for the NSA, violated non-disclosure agreements with the NSA and CIA by publishing his book without first submitting it for prepublication review “in violation of his express obligations under the agreements he signed.” The government also claims that Snowden has violated NDAs by giving speeches without first providing materials for prepublication review. Over the holiday weekend, a gun-wielding group of people tried to storm their way into a Houston Popeyes outpost in search of the chain’s elusive chicken sandwich.

The attempted sandwich robbery allegedly went down on Monday night at the Popeyes location at 7159 Scott Street in Southeast Houston, according to ABC 7.
