Gun-Wielding Group Tries to Storm a Houston Popeyes in Search of Chicken Sandwiches

Eater Houston – by Amy McCarthy

Over the holiday weekend, a gun-wielding group of people tried to storm their way into a Houston Popeyes outpost in search of the chain’s elusive chicken sandwich.

The attempted sandwich robbery allegedly went down on Monday night at the Popeyes location at 7159 Scott Street in Southeast Houston, according to ABC 7. After being told in the drive-thru line that the location was, like all other Popeyes restaurants, sold out of chicken sandwiches, a group of five people reportedly tried to storm their way into the restaurant, and one man involved was carrying a gun.

The Houston police department confirmed the attempted robbery via tweet. Perhaps not surprisingly, the tweet had already racked up thousands of likes and retweets within an hour of being posted.

Fortunately, a fast-thinking employee was able to lock the doors before the would-be thieves could make their way into the restaurant and no one was harmed. Houston police have not yet released any further information on the suspects involved.

  1. “a gun-wielding group of people tried to storm their way…”

“one man involved was carrying a gun.”

Attempted robbery? And how’ pray tell did they come to this conclusion?

Yellow anti-gun propaganda at the very LEAST.

To be honest, THIS is most likely the reason for all the chicken sandwich hub-bub:

It also works well to throw in the “bad gun” brainwashing eric holder spoke of.
