A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that 54.4% of pelvic exams and 71.9% of Pap smears conducted in teen girls in the U.S. are potentially unnecessary and may expose women to preventable harm.[i]

Fresno, CA — A video uploaded to Facebook recently is causing quite the debate on social media after it showed a reportedly pregnant woman getting slammed to the ground by a police officer. The video was recorded outside a Walmart in Fresno last Friday.

There is very little information in regard to the video as it was taken by a bystander who did not know the alleged victim. According to the man who posted the video to his page, however, the young woman was accused of stealing. The United States is at the beginning of a nationwide lockdown that is slowly taking effect across the country. Schools are being closed, events are getting canceled, and many people are realizing that their way of life is going to radically change for the next few months, often in very scary and dramatic ways.

Most of the working class does not have the luxury of taking the social distancing measures that will protect them from catching the virus, because so many people are just one missed paycheck away from being homeless or unable to afford food.
