The California State Board of Education has rejected a proposed ethnic studies curriculum for the state’s schools, saying it “falls short and needs to be substantially redesigned.”
The Jewish community is among several minority groups that have protested the draft. The Marianna Islands, located in the Pacific Ocean, near Guam, between Australia and Japan, are a commonwealth of the United States. They are being flooded with pregnant women to gain US citizenship for their children through automatic birthright citizenship if they are born on US soil. Relatives also can obtain citizenship through chain migration. US citizenship includes voting, a US passport, generous welfare benefits, college financial aid, and much more. An East London council banned a charity bike ride raising money for Palestinian children from using its public parks, internal emails revealed last week.

Tower Hamlets council in London last month prevented a bike ride raising awareness of the plight of the Palestinian people from using space in one of its parks. We now know that the council feared that this advocacy for Palestine would violate the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s working definition of antisemitism (UK council refused to host Palestinian event over antisemitism fears, 3 August). This use of the IHRA definition demonstrates the real threat to freedom of expression that it represents, ignoring its protection in our national rights legislation. Nearly 100 protestors were arrested Saturday during a demonstration outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office in New York City, where they shut down part of a major highway.
Protestors sat down and linked arms in the middle of the West Side Highway near 26th Street, getting in the way of traffic in both directions, Fox 5 reported. Gilbert, AZ — Samantha Glass, 36, was clearly drunk, but non-violent and entirely peaceful when she was approached by a Gilbert police officer who wrongfully accused her of trying to break into a truck. Glass never tried to break into said truck, however, during the officer’s investigation into his accusations, this small woman would be violently slammed face-first into the concrete. Glass was badly injured and the subsequent brain damage she suffered from the assault is now the subject of a federal lawsuit. German authorities have investigated hundreds of internet users over comments they made on a Facebook video posted by the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. The massive probe, spanning over 250 investigations, was launched in response to the live streaming of a migrant protest by the Bavarian-wing of the AfD party in 2017, German media disclosed on Saturday. Some 97 people were fined and three others were to face incitement charges in the court, the weekly Der Spiegel reported. Bill Gates hitched a ride on Jeffrey Epstein’s plane – four years after he served time behind bars for soliciting a minor under the age of 18 for sex.

The state and its enforcers are not known for their common sense and proficient use of discretion. Instead, they are known for the opposite. An example of this lack of common sense and discretion was evident this week when an innocent family was thrown off of a public beach for shading their young children with a small half-moon tent.
Courtney Jackson, owner of Claws Nail & Beauty Bar in St. Catharines, Ontario, took her family to the beach this week on her only day off. Instead of having a relaxing time and soaking up the beauty of Crystal Beach, she was humiliated and threatened by police who forced her and her entire family to get off the beach — all over a tiny tent. Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham claimed on Friday that he owns an AR-15 to protect himself in case of a hurricane or another scenario in which law enforcement would not be able to defend him.
