The declining health of the millennial generation could have a serious impact on the U.S. health care system, according to experts.

“Millennials are seeing their health decline faster than the previous generation as they age,” a Moody’s Analytics report analyzing Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Index data stated. “Without intervention, millennials could feasibly see mortality rates climb up by more than 40% compared to Gen-Xers at the same age.” (Pew Research defines millennials as Americans born between 1981 and 1996.)  Continue reading “Millennials ‘are seeing their health decline faster’ than Gen X, worrying experts”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Wednesday released its updated Antibiotic Resistance Threats in the United States (AR Threats Report) indicating that antibiotic-resistant bacteria and fungi cause more than 2.8 million infections and 35,000 deaths in the United States each year. That means, on average, someone in the United States gets an antibiotic-resistant infection every 11 seconds and every 15 minutes someone dies. When Clostridioides difficile, a bacterium which is not typically resistant but can cause deadly diarrhea and is associated with antibiotic use, is added to these, the U.S. toll of all the threats in the report exceeds 3 million infections and 48,000 deaths. On Thursday’s broadcast of CNN’s special coverage of the shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, CA, former President Bill Clinton told President Donald Trump to ignore impeachment and pass gun control.

Commenting on when the Republican-controlled House impeached him in 1998, Clinton said, “Look at how much we got done in 1998 and 1999 and even in ‘97. We had very productive actions in all three years. The only really tough year we had after the Republicans won the Congress, was ‘95 to the beginning of ‘96—when they shut the government down twice. Once the public rendered judgment on what they thought should be done, I kept working with them. That’s just an excuse.”  Continue reading “Bill Clinton to Trump: Ignore Impeachment, Pass Gun Control Now — ‘You Got Hired to Do a Job’”

The youthful Second Amendment supporter who made national headlines has reached a plea deal with the Green County Prosecutor.  Dmitriy N. Andreychenko conducted his advocacy in a Missouri Walmart on 8 August, 2019, less than a week after a mass murder in an El Paso, Texas Walmart on 3 August, 2019.

Andreychenko wore body armor, had an unloaded, slung AR-15 type rifle, and a loaded, holstered pistol. He took a shopping cart into the Walmart while videoing himself on his phone. Police arrested Dmitriy on a charge of a terrorist threat in the first degree. The prosecutor initially charged him with a terrorist threat in the second degree.
