HOUSTON, Texas—Breitbart Texas has learned that a story released yesterday by the Associated Press (AP), and subsequently picked up by other news outlets across Texas, is not correct. Yesterday, the AP reported that the deployment of TNG forces had begun as part of Texas Governor Rick Perry’s deployment of 1,000 soldiers to a portion of the Rio Grande Sector of the Texas-Mexico Border.  Subsequent to the AP’s report, several media outlets across Texas picked up the story. The outlets quoted TNG Master Sergeant Ken Walker as saying that several dozen soldiers deployed in the Rio Grande Valley are part of the up to 1,000 troops called up by Perry last month.    Continue reading “AP, Most Media Wrong on Texas Guard Border Deployment”

Pinal County, AZ Sheriff Paul Babeu said that when his deputies turn individuals that they suspect are in the county illegal over to ICE, the agency doesn’t verify that the suspect is in the country legally.

“The troubling part of this is that when we do call ICE, what they say is ‘well, the person has been here five years,’ nothing confirming or finding out or verifying this, ‘treat them as any other citizen,’ and then we release them” he said on Wednesday’s “On the Record” on the Fox News Channel.    Continue reading “AZ Sheriff: ICE Doesn’t Verify the Legal Status of People Turned Over to Them”
