Glendale, AZ — It was supposed to be a Snapchat organized drive-in party in an industrial part of Glendale, AZ long after the businesses closed for the week. But what started off as a great idea to meet up in cars and groups ended with one 17-year-old high school student being gunned down by police early Sunday morning. Levy Isaac Madueno Santibanez was shot after apparently ignoring police commands to disperse. HONG KONG (Reuters) – Hong Kong pro-democracy campaigners on Friday vowed to stage a major march at the weekend despite police ruling the rally illegal, setting the scene for possibly more unrest in the Chinese-ruled city, battered by months of violent protests.

A major US base in northern Syria was destroyed by an air strike after the troops pulled out, likely to prevent more embarrassing videos of the abandoned facility once it is reclaimed by Syrian government troops.

The Lafarge cement factory near Kobani was the site of a joint US-French base, which was abandoned on Wednesday as part of a general withdrawal ordered by US President Donald Trump. Acting United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director Ken Cuccinelli says there is no Constitutional Amendment needed to end the nation’s birthright citizenship, whereby millions of illegal aliens have been able to secure their U.S.-born children American citizenship.

During the Christian Science Monitor‘s breakfast with Cuccinelli, the acting director said he does not believe that an amendment to the Constitution is necessary for the U.S. to end its birthright citizenship policy. WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Law enforcement officials said on Wednesday they had arrested hundreds of people worldwide after knocking out a South Korea-based dark web child pornography site that sold gruesome videos for digital cash.

The United States on Wednesday restored economic aid to El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras that had been cut off after the Trump administration complained the three Central American countries had done too little to halt a surge in migration.

Ethel, LA — A mentally ill man was killed this week as he ran away from police after allegedly stealing a box of eggs and raw chicken, according to the man’s family. Early Monday morning, Christopher Whitfield, 31, was gunned down by an East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s deputy who has yet to be named.

Whitfield was running from police when he was shot, his family said. He’d allegedly run away from the gas station with a box of chicken and some eggs. Decatur, GA – Instead of reaching for his pepper spray, his Taser, or a baton, a DeKalb County police officer drew his gun and killed an unarmed and naked veteran suffering from bipolar and post-traumatic stress disorders. Charged with felony murder and several other charges in 2016, the officer claimed the unarmed veteran was aggressively charging towards him even though witnesses disputed his “official” version of events. After a years-long battle, the case has finally come to a close and the officer who killed Anthony Hill was found guilty on several charges but found not guilty on the two counts of felony murder. A white Fort Worth, Texas, police officer was jailed on murder charges on Monday in the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old black woman who was babysitting inside her home, the police department said.
