California adopted 15 firearms-related bills last Friday, including a controversial ‘red flag’ gun confiscation law which adds co-workers, employers and educators to the list of who can file a gun violence restraining order on those they say are a danger to themselves and others. Currently, only law enforcement and immediate family members can apply to temporarily confiscate peoples’ firearms. Russia’s de-dollarization efforts continue, in line with Putin’s promise to lower the country’s vulnerability to the ongoing threat of US sanctions, with officials eyeing energy exports next.

“We have a very good currency, it’s stable. Why not use it for global transactions?” Russian Economy Minister Maxim Oreshkin said in an interview with the Financial Times on Sunday. “We want (oil and gas sales) in roubles at some point,” he said.  Continue reading “Russia Considers Energy Exports In Euros, Rubles As Putin’s De-Dollarization Continues”

There’s no two ways about it: The United States of America and its 50 state governments love putting people in prison.

The U.S. has both the highest number of prisoners and the highest per capita incarceration rate in the modern world at 655 adults per 100,000. (It’s worth noting that China’s incarceration statistics are dubious, and they execute far more people than the United States. Indeed, the so-called People’s Republic executes more people annually than the rest of the world combined.)  Still, that’s more than 2.2 million Americans in state and federal prisons as well as county jails.  Continue reading “Locked Up: How the Modern Prison-Industrial Complex Puts So Many Americans in Jail”

update: Turkey has now given Trump every reason to unleash the newly authorized sanctions, as Newsweek reports that American special forces troops have come under Turkish fire.

According to the breaking exclusive: “A contingent of U.S. Special Forces has been caught up in Turkish shelling against U.S.-backed Kurdish positions in northern Syria.” It was “apparently by mistake,” the report adds.  Continue reading “US Special Forces In Syria ‘Mistakenly’ Bombed By Turkey”

One of the biggest scandals of the Obama administration is seriously endangering U.S. national security. The federal government’s approval of the sale of the Uranium One mining company to the Russian state-owned nuclear company leaves our country vulnerable to the Russians. Only President Donald Trump can restore our national security, and the time to do that is now.

Not surprisingly, the Uranium One scandal received little attention in the mainstream media. That was likely due to the involvement of then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who would soon become the Democratic nominee for president. San Diego, CA — While many think that the state taking children from parents is a noble gesture to protect the child, all too often, the state removes kids from a bad situation and throws them into a situation akin to a horror film. Many times the children are taken from caring parents, who happened to hit a rough patch in their lives, and thrown into torturous and outright sadistic situations where they end up raped, tortured, and, as the tragic following case highlights, even murdered.  Continue reading “State Takes Toddler from Loving Mom Over Drugs, Gives Him to Foster Parent Who Killed Him”

Millions of Californians may have just suffered an unprecedented, induced blackout by the state’s largest (and bankrupt) utility, PG&E, just so it isn’t blamed for starting even more fires causing it to go even more bankrupt… but at least the price of gas is soaring.  Continue reading “California Hit By Dual Shock: LA Gas Prices Spike Above $5 As Residents Learn Solar Panels Don’t Work In Blackouts”

A new report from Defense One shows the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is installing an invisible shield along President Trump’s Mexico-US border wall that will deny access to drug smuggling drones.

FREEPORT, Ill. (Reuters) – For America’s working poor, an often essential ingredient for getting and keeping a job – having a car – has rarely been more costly, and millions of people are finding it impossible to keep up with payments despite prolonged economic growth and low unemployment.

More than 7 million Americans are already 90 or more days behind on their car loans, according to the New York Federal Reserve, and serious delinquency rates among borrowers with the lowest credit scores have by far seen the fastest acceleration.  Continue reading “Rising old used car prices help push poor Americans over the edge”

Chicago, IL — Because of their gross negligence and incompetence, the city of Chicago is facing a slew of lawsuits for raiding the homes of innocent people — allegedly by mistake. TFTP has reported on several of these lawsuits in which cops raided a four-year-old’s birthday party and held other children at gunpoint. One of these families has even been raided — mistakenly — three times. One family’s recent mistaken raid, however, is exposing a blue wall of silence and showing how far the Chicago police department is willing to go to cover up their crimes.  Continue reading “‘They Put Rifles to My Children’s Heads’ Cops Terrorize Family in Raid on Wrong Home”

The man is so beautifully bland. In fact, I’d wager that only a tiny segment of Americans could name the current Secretary of Defense—and far fewer could pick him out of a lineup. Perhaps that’s the point. President Trump, a celebrity ham, has tired of sharing the stage with big-name advisers such as Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and national security adviser John Bolton. So they’re both gone. In their place, Trump has installed faceless bureaucrats to run the most powerful national security state in human history. And the rest of us hardly notice.  Continue reading “Secretary of Defense, Incorporated”

West Palm Beach, FL — Jury duty, like voting, is considered by many Americans as one’s civic duty. But as one young man from Florida would learn, jury duty is anything but voluntary. He overslept, missed jury duty, and a judge threw the book at him, sentencing him to 10 days in jail and one year of probation. However, this man’s story now has a happy ending thanks to his situation garnering national attention and a hefty dose of backlash.  Continue reading “After Viral Backlash, Judge Rescinds Jail Sentence For Man Who Missed Jury Duty”
