My Fox Tampa BayTAMPA (FOX 13) – Sami Osmakac wanted to unleash terror across Tampa on a Thursday – a “big gathering day” to kill as many people as possible, he said.
That’s what a federal jury heard Thursday in court, as prosecutors played a videotape of Osmakac driving around Tampa Bay with another man, who turned out to be an undercover FBI agent.
As the video played, the undercover agent asks Osmakac about targets he planned to hit.
Osmakac tells him all the Tampa Bay area bridges – mentioning the Gandy by name, as well as bridges in Sarasota – with the goal being to cut people off from supplies and food so that they would starve or commit suicide.
During opening statements Wednesday, Asst. U.S. Attorney Sara Sweeney told jurors Osmakac also planned to use grenades and an AK-47 to take hostages at the Hard Rock Casino and demand the release of Muslim prisoners.
They say he also plotted to blow up a car bomb outside MacDinton’s Irish Pub in Tampa.
Osmakac’s attorney says his client has radical beliefs but could never have afforded the types of weapons needed to unleash a major terror attack. He said the government gave money to a paid informant, who gave money to Osmakac, who then used it to purchase weapons, which turned out to be bogus from an undercover federal agent.
In the video played Thursday, Osmakac is heard saying he will fast on Wednesday, so he would have all his strength for the Thursday attacks.

Those pesky evil Mooslim ‘terrorists’ would never get ANYWHERE, if it weren’t for the alphabet agencies generously providing funds (taxpayer provided, actually) to them so they can sell them bogus weaponry, then bust them, and parade them around in front of the sheeple (or at least ‘court’room drawings of them, what the hell is THAT about?) to show them all what a terrific job they be doin’.
