Congressman: “It’s Far Easier Than You Think To Manipulate A Nation Of Naive, Self-Absorbed Sheep”

The Daily Sheeple – by Melissa Dykes

If you can believe it, there are still Americans who actually believe this country is a Democratic Republic and their vote matters.

Well according to a new book coming out in a couple weeks called The Confessions of Congressman X, our votes don’t mean jack.

The book, published by Mill City Press, claims to have been written by an anonymous Democratic Congressman as a dark and devastating tell-all of what’s really going on behind the scenes at America’s capitol.

Here are a few lines to give you an idea of what the good congressman is “confessing”:

“Most of my colleagues are dishonest career politicians who revel in the power and special-interest money that’s lavished upon them.”

“My main job is to keep my job, to get reelected. It takes precedence over everything.”

“Voters are incredibly ignorant and know little about our form of government and how it works.”

“The average man on the street actually thinks he influences how I vote. Unless it’s a hot-button issue, his thoughts are generally meaningless. I’ll politely listen, but I follow the money.”

“It’s far easier than you think to manipulate a nation of naive, self-absorbed sheep who crave instant gratification.”

“Fundraising is so time consuming I seldom read any bills I vote on. Like many of my colleagues, I don’t know how the legislation will be implemented, or what it’ll cost.”

“We spend money we don’t have and blithely mortgage the future with a wink and a nod. Screw the next generation. It’s about getting credit now, lookin’ good for the upcoming election.”

According to the Daily Mail, Washington is “abuzz” wondering who could’ve written it, reporting “No wonder Congressman X wants to remain anonymous for fear of retribution. His admissions are deeply disturbing…”

Oh, and, “The book also takes shots at voters as disconnected idiots who let Congress abuse its power through sheer incompetence.”

For those who have been paying attention, however, these admissions are not really a surprise at all. What’s surprising is that there are people who will see the book and naively believe this guy is alone in his views or that there is little truth to it, when the truth is being blatantly rubbed in everyone’s face because ultimately they know nothing will change.

Let’s be honest with ourselves here. We live in a country where 91% of the time, the Congressperson who has raised the most money is the one who gets reelected. Period. Ninety-one percent of the time. It doesn’t matter what his or her political views or platform are or really anything other than the fact that he or she raised the most funds. That’s it. If they realize that’s how this whole thing works, why would they bother doing anything else like, oh, I dunno, the job they were supposedly elected to do?

On top of that, studies have been done which prove that Congress does not care what the American people think.

Congress continues to amaze with what, a whopping nine percent approval rating? Maybe it jumped to 11 percent for a little while?

But even at 11 percent, 96% of congress was reelected by voters last time.

What does that tell you?

Sadly, the book above appears dead on.

Recently 60 Minutes even did an exposé (see video below) on how Congress are LITERALLY telemarketers… did anyone notice? These people spend more time in DNC and RNC call centers down the street from the capitol building than they do on the floor of Congress itself.

Watch.

  1. And no matter how much this infuriates you .. hes right

the part that pisses me off the most, is WE collectively arnt doing enough to stop it (them) as a population

the illusion of choosing a master to rule over you for the next 4 to 8 years is NOT my definition of being FREE

  2. Anyone who is awake to the scam has known that these critters have never worked for the people. Only dumbasses vote them in.

    Got rope???

  3. “It’s far easier than you think to manipulate a nation of naive, self-absorbed sheep who crave instant gratification.”

That depends on one’s level of awareness.

“Sadly, the book above appears dead on.”

No doubt. Revelation of the Method.

  4. This guy would have been more of a hero had he said who he is.

Actually, for all we know, the author is simply one of us who is disgusted and up on all their crud and decided to write a book authored by an ex congressman. Great selling point, guaranteed. Straight from a man in the know. Wish I’d thought of it.
