A video clip of a doctor speaking up at a school board meeting in Mt. Vernon, Indiana is going viral on social media.
The Mt. Vernon school board held a special meeting on Friday to consider Covid-19 protocols, and several parents spoke out as well, voicing their concerns. The Greenfield Reporter explained:
Their concerns included a lack of educational opportunities for quarantined students, frustration toward the ever-changing recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, impacts to students’ mental and emotional health, and effects on personal freedoms. They expressed discouragement over how political COVID-19 measures have become, pointed to low mortality and few instances of severe illness among children from the novel coronavirus, and questioned how Mt. Vernon would enforce the measures.
Dr. Dan Stock, a family medicine physician, came to the microphone and gave the speech that has set the internet on fire.
Stock said, “It’s hard to believe we’re 18 months into this and still having a problem, and I would suggest the reason we’re still having a problem is because we’re doing things that are not useful, and we’re getting our sources of information from the Indiana State Board of Health and the CDC, who actually don’t bother to read science before they do this.”
Everything being recommended by the CDC and the State Board of Health is actually contrary to all the rules of science, he declared.
Stock noted that coronavirus and all other respiratory virus are spread by aerosol particles, which are small enough to go through every mask. He said you cannot make these viruses go away, and said vaccines will not help.
He also asked, “Why are we doing things about this that we didn’t do for the common cold or influenza?”
Stock also pointed out that a full 75% of people included in the COVID-19 outbreak last month in Provincetown, Massachusetts were fully vaccinated.
“No vaccine prevents you from getting infection. You get infected, you shed pathogen. You just don’t get symptomatic from it,” the doctor said.
“So you cannot stop spread, you cannot make these numbers that you’ve planned on get better by doing any of the things that you’re doing,” he said. “Because that is the nature of viral respiratory pathogens. And you can’t prevent it with a vaccine because they don’t do the very thing you’re wanting them to do. And you will be chasing this through the remainder of your life until you recognize the Centers for Disease Control and the Indiana State Board of Health are giving you very bad scientific guidance.”
The doctor said he has 15 Covid-19 patients, and none of them have come anywhere near the hospital due to the treatment he has given them.
“The policies that you are basing [your protocols] on, are totally counterfactual,” he told the school board in a powerful conclusion as the room erupted into applause.

Correction: the truth shall “make you free”. Too many generations have misquoted it to say “set you free” which is a lie.
