KTNV News – by Elizabeth Gadley
A bizarre and frightening series of random attacks injured 10 people over the weekend.
Now, one of the victims of a scary hammer attack is telling her story.
Right now, Nicole Thompson is at UMC with fractures to her jaw, cheek bone and her finger.
She will likely have to undergo more surgery but she is alert and was willing to speak with me over the phone about the savage attack and how she is doing now.
Thompson was on her way home after picking up pizza for her family when the unthinkable happened.
A car cut her off then the driver, who police have identified as Damien Robins got out and started to attack with a small sledgehammer.
Thompson was hit in the face and hand then the attack stopped just as suddenly as it started.
She says Robins got back in his car and simply drove off.
It wasn’t until she was in the hospital that she found out she was one of ten people that Robins allegedly attacked.
Robbins is currently in the Clark County Detention Center facing numerous charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

So does this mean that it’s time to start registering our hammers with our local police department?
she shoulda run his ass over!
oh than she would probably be in trouble for not registering her car as a lethal weapon
I’M SHOCKED THE COPS DIDN’T RUN IN AND SHOOT THE VICTIM.
yeah, no kidding
I’m surprised he didn’t end up in a plastic bag instead of jail.
need i say CARRY A GUN hope you anti gun asshats think twice before your next
ABSOLUTELY. even if you don’t have a permit. Shoot to kill, and drive off.
Reminds me of the serial killer Harvey Carignan! Also known as “harvey the hammer.” Real interesting %(*&#$^%# that murdered women. I won’t go into a lot of details but on my 16th bday I was within hearing distance of one of his victims. Video regarding Harvey Carignan. Sherburne County, Minnesota incident. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXPm8B0i-L4
Not to be an A-hole, but will this be considered a hate crime?
