SAN JOSE, CA — A 19-year-old woman was shot in the street during an erratic episode involving a cordless drill.

At around 10:36 a.m. on August 14th, 2014, five San Jose police officers responded to the 700 block of Blossom Hill Road with a report of a woman threatening her family.

When police arrived, the woman exited the home and police confronted her outside. Police ordered her several times to drop the object that she was holding, which officers claim they believed was an “Uzi-style firearm.” Although the incident took place in broad daylight, officers failed to identify the object as a battery-operated drill. She allegedly waved the object erratically.

Facing “a very, very serious situation,” San Jose Officer Wakana Okuma opened fire on the yet-unnamed woman from a distance of approximately 15 feet. She crumpled to the ground, and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

No one besides the decedent was injured during the confrontation or the preceding events. Furthermore, witnesses said that she was home alone, according to Mercury News.

Mercury News also reported that the woman’s family had revealed that she was mentally ill and had been prescribed psychotropic medication. A friend of the woman said that “she had bipolar disorder & often didn’t understand seriousness of what she did,” KTVU added.

Although there is little doubt that the shooting will be declared to be legally justified, the incident should give citizens pause before calling the police to deal with distressed family members. Government agents enjoy a broad threshold for using deadly force to stop perceived threats — even if they turn out not to be actual threats. As such, it is frequently apparent that a call for “help” can easily turn into a death sentence for a harmless person.

  1. The LAST thing I would EVER do is call the police or voluntarily invite any “authority figure” from the State onto my property or into any aspect of my life. They are worse than the mafia…far far worse!

  2. Proves one thing. Police officers are so unfimiliar with what guns look like. The don’t recognize one when they see them. This leads to a situuation were they are forced to think! And a police officer who thinks is a public health threat.

  3. “Although the incident took place in broad daylight, officers failed to identify the object as a battery-operated drill.”

Oh yeah. That looked like a real gun barrel. The battery pack wasn’t much of a giveaway either.

“No one besides the decedent was injured during the confrontation or the preceding events.”

    They got lucky.

    Never, ever, EVER…

  4. The drill didn’t even have a bit in it, she was hold nothing more than a small club. The police face no danger whats so ever, just walk up and take it from her, anyone could have done that. But instead, they kill her. Typical cop reaction. Time to throw down authority, starting with the bankers, then the government and police. Follow the money and start from the top down.

    1. Yes, just follow your nose. That stinky, rotten, god-awful smell will lead right to that stinking Banker Zionist jew bastard. That foul smell that permeates the planet, it’s the smell of a Zionist jew risen from hell.

  5. Darkwing, you do not start burning, looting and rioting. All that is foolish and exactly what they want you to do so they can declare martial law and start killing people by the thousands in broad daylight.

What you do is cut off the head of the snake and work your way down. You won’t get very far from the top before everyone wants to agree with you, but don’t stop until they are all gone.

  6. I saw a cell phone video that was taken prior to the shooting and it was a lot farther away than the officers vantage point. It took me 1 second to determine it was a battery powered drill. There is no excuse for this slaughter.
