Last Resistance – by Gordan Runyan
President Obama gave the commencement speech at Ohio State University this weekend. He urged the graduates to reject the voices in the culture that are always warning that government tyranny lurks around the corner. (Video here.)
Two things:
1. We need no further proof to justify a chorus of horse-laughter over his claim to being a Constitutional scholar. Because a Constitutional scholar would have read a book or two. Specifically, say, the Federalist Papers and the Anti-Federalist Papers. He would’ve seen that the nation was extremely concerned about tyranny in America in the run-up to the ratification of the federal Constitution. Indeed, those on the Anti-Federalist side seem more like prophets with each passing day, as they were convinced that the new Constitution would not, in fact, keep tyranny from happening here. Warning about government tyranny is practically the sine qua non of the American experiment.
President Reagan spoke as an American in this honorable tradition when he quipped that the scariest words in our language were, “We’re from the government and we’re here to help.” Mr. Obama speaks those words in earnest, like he really means them, and wonders why anyone would be nervous about it.
2. I really have no idea who he’s talking about, these mysterious voices warning of tyranny lurking around the corner. Everyone I know who is paying any attention is aware that tyranny is here right now, out in the open! I wish we lived in a time when tyrants were still afraid to show themselves!
One comment left under the video made me think of the old game show, The $20,000 Pyramid, and Mr. Obama is trying to get a contestant to blurt out, “Things a Dictator Would Say!”
Is it merely coincidence that the President made these remarks, urging the grads to support (and not suspect) the federal government, at the same time that the NRA was holding its 2013 Victory Celebration Convention in Houston? At roughly the same time that Glenn Beck was warning that 2nd Amendment is the last line of defense for our freedoms?
I can’t help but hear some hurt feelings in between the lines of his speech. Well, cry me a river, sir, cry me a river.

Why does the picture above of Obama in a dark robe look just like the Emperor when he waves out his hand to push things away using the force. The image of him in the picture has a very eerie Illuminati mind control feel to it. His evil Sith mind tricks won’t work on college students nor our children anymore. Now one believes his shit anymore. You’re done, Obama! Go back to Africa!
What a joke. 40 years a 1 day since the Kent State shootings. I wonder what the four dead students or the survivors would have to say about government tyranny.
My Fellow Americans:
Allow me to translate Criminal Obama’s message:
“Listen to me!,… No one else!!… I would would never kill all of you!,… just let us disarm you, steal ALL your wealth, reduce you to complete slavery,.. THEN we will decide who to get rid of!” – The great leader
HHhmmm,… some how,.. the gov’ts plan to kill me, my family and my country,.. just isn’t working for me,…. perhaps its time to consider the alternatives….
JD – US Marines – When this criminal gov’t starts telling Americans right to their faces,… “trust us,.. we love you!!!”,…. its getting closer to slaughter time
HE FORGOT THE “EVERYTHING ISNT MEANT TO BE ALRIGHT ” PART
The fact that he made such a statement should be enough to put the students on guard, but naturally, the completely indoctrinated college students will just nod and soak up his “wisdom”.
I think of Nixon saying “I am not a crook”, and easily imagine Obama’s version: “I am not a tyrant”.
