ABC 11 NewsDURHAM (WTVD) — Durham police need help finding the person who fired a shot into an off-duty police officer’s apartment Monday afternoon.
Authorities say the officer was inside of his home in the Atrium Apartments on Meriwether Drive when a shot shattered the outer pane of his dining room’s sliding glass door. It happened just before 2 p.m.
No one was injured, and the officer was able to catch a glimpse of the alleged shooter as he ran off.
Authorities are now searching for a black man with a dark complexion, short hair, and a dark green jacket. K9 officers attempted to track the suspect for almost an hour, but were unable to find him.
Police have not yet determined whether the officer’s apartment was specifically targeted. They are also still investigating if the weapon was a pellet gun or a real gun.
It’s the second recent incident involving the Durham Police Department. On Christmas, an officer was sitting in his car writing a report in the Lakeland Street and Truman Street area around 10 p.m. when two men came up behind the vehicle. When the officer got out to speak to them, one of the men pulled out a pistol and started shooting. One bullet hit the officer’s car, but he was not wounded. Those men have not been captured.

Any thing less than a million. And most people in America will not risk there lives to speak to a American cop. They have tought us well Never Speak to a American Cop. If you don’t want beat shot framed and harased for life by the likes of them.
Sounds like they suck at investigating but are good at pissing off the community.

Of course they weren’t. Seriously doubt it even happened. If he was within speaking distance, he was in sitting duck range. One freakin’ round hit the car? BULLSH#T!!! Stevie Wonder could have nailed him just from the direction of his voice.
