Sushi restaurant using unmanned flying drones to deliver food to customers

LONDON – A London-based sushi chain is trying out a new food delivery method by using flying drones to get your order from the kitchen to your table.

Time.com says that YO!Sushi’s flagship store in London will be testing a delivery method in which the customer’s food will be delivered directly to their plate by new, flying drone.

The propeller-driven flying waiter is equipped with cameras, a tray to carry plates, and will be controlled by a human waiter with an iPad.

The flying drone can deliver food at speeds of 25 m.p.h.

The company also uses conveyor belts to move fresh sushi around the restaurant.

  1. MSM and Corporations: “See? Aren’t drones cool and good for society? See! You have nothing to fear. It’s fun.”

    Sick bastards.

  2. This would be the very last place I would want to go for lunch. I guess that this would be a good place for the waitresses/waiters to work though – they could avoid cocky customers.

  3. As the drone flew to the table the guy was tempted to grab the plate as it hovered close to him. It’s a good thing he was smart and didn’t reach for his food as the propellors would have chopped his fingers off.
