Look at all the people the War on Drugs has busted for trafficking heroin and cocaine. If the Government really wanted to end drug distribution, they would arrest the people bringing it into the USA.
Oh, I forgot… that would be our Government, and it’s unlikely that they will arrest the CIA’s black-ops participants.
On a similar parallel:
We had a construction crew working in India, and at the end of the day our interpreter took us to a private dinner banquet. The main entre was beef steak.
We asked our interpreter: “I thought you didn’t eat beef in India?”
His response, “This beef did not come from India.”
Upon further inquiries, we discovered that eating certain foods (meats), prostitution, alcohol, and street drugs are illegal in India; however, they can all be obtained on the local black market. It was also no surprise to find out that the Government of India runs their black market.
Is it really any different in the USA? The only reason that more than 40% of the inmate population in our prisons and jails are non-violent, drug trafficking offenders, is because our Government doesn’t like competition in their multi-billion dollar industry.
